Limassol Zoo

The Limassol Zoo is situated within the Limassol Municipal Gardens, near the seafront in the city of Limassol, within the Limassol district of Cyprus.

It re-opened in June 2012, after the recent reconstruction into a modern zoo, and there have been major improvements compared to the Old Limassol Zoo.

About Zoos-

According to the zoo's website, "With the creation of the modern education center, we offer visitors, especially children and students, organized educational lectures, tours and updates for our animals, wildlife and fauna.  Guests at this modern zoo will see remarkable and very attractive animals, birds and reptiles from all continents."

Due to the limited space, there are not large animals at the Limassol Zoo.  However, there are plenty of animals to visit, including those at the Cypriot Stable and Reptile House.

In addition to the animals, the Limassol Zoo features an educational center, cafe and snack bar, playground, souvenir shop, etc.

Even though the Limassol Zoo is quite small, it's still a delightful place to explore, particularly for animal fans and families with young children.
