Pedoulas Village

Pedoulas Village is located about 4 km from Moutoullas Village, along the Troodos Mountains in the Marathasa Valley (also known as the Myrianthousa Valley), within the Nicosia district of Cyprus.

Within Pedoulas Village, there are several sites to visit, including the Holy Cross Church, Holy Cross Chapel, Archangelos Michail Church, Balkan War Memorial, Folkloric Museum, and Pedoulas Byzantine Museum.

The Holy Cross Church (also known as the Timiou Stavrou Church and the Big Church of the Holy Cross) is the main church in Pedoulas Village.  Construction for the current Holy Cross Church began in 1933, yet it wasn't completed until 1935, and the church was built on a plateau to replace an older timber-roofed church.

Nearby, there's a smaller Holy Cross Chapel situated on the hillside overlooking the village.

Near the Holy Cross Church, there's the Folkloric Museum, which includes tools and photographs that demonstrate traditional village life.

The Pedoulas Byzantine Museum, which is located near the Archangelos Michail Church, displays religious items from the 13th to 20th centuries that were once utilized by churches in the surrounding area.

The Archangelos Michail Church, as well as the Holy Cross Chapel and Balkan War Memorial, will be featured in upcoming blog posts.

Pedoulas Village is a delightful mountain village to explore for both locals and tourist.
