Timios Stavros Monastery Ruins

Timios Stavros Monastery is an abandoned monastery that currently consists of ancient ruins.  It's located southwest of Anogyra Village, which is within the Limassol district of Cyprus.

The Byzantine monastery ruins primarily include an early Christian basilica that was divided into rooms.  The Timios Stavros Monastery was built in the 14th century and abandoned in the 19th century.  The current church building, Timios Stavros Church, was built on the northeast corner of the monastery ruins.

The monastery ruins are quite picturesque and definitely merit visiting the site.
