Limassol Port

The Limassol Port is located in the city of Limassol, within the Limassol district of Cyprus.

As the largest and busiest port on the island, the Limassol New Port is the main seaport throughout the island.  The Amerigo Vespucci ship, which will be featured in an upcoming blog post, docked in this port for a few days, allowing free tours to those in Cyprus.

Limassol's previous main port is now referred to as the Limassol Old Port, which was active from when it was constructed in 1956 until 1973, when the New Port was completed.  In 2010, reconstruction began on the Old Port, and this new project is called the Limassol Marina, which should be completed soon and will be featuring in a future blog post.

The Limassol Port is an active part of life in Cyprus.
