Petreon Sculpture Park

The Petreon Sculpture Park is located in the countryside near Mazotos Village, within the Larnaca district of Cyprus.

According to the park's website, "Petreon Sculpture Park is the culmination of a dream and 14,000 hours of work.  A collection of stones from all across the island come together to form this unique park.  Petreon is home to two actively-working artists, Savvas Koulendros and his wife, Stavroula Mbirou-Koulendrou."

This park is named after stone (or petra), which is the main material of the sculptures on display.

Some of the larger sculptures are titled as Petreos, Cypriot Farmer Woman, Family Weights, The Mummy, The Philosophers' Yard, Solidarity, Mother with Eight Children, Europe, The Equality of Man and Woman, The Angel, The Four Generations, The Sphinx, etc.
In addition to the permanent open-air sculpture exhibits, the Petreon Sculpture Park features a small art gallery with smaller sculptures and various paintings, as well as a little stone church, an amphitheater, flower gardens, and a outdoor cafe.

The Petreon Sculpture Park is an interesting place to explore.
