Asgata Village

Asgata Village is situated in the middle of a valley, about 26 km from the city of Limassol, along the southeastern side of the Limassol district of Cyprus.

Within Asgata Village, there's several churches, including the Petros and Pavlos Apostles Church, as well as the Ayia Marina Church.

As the name suggests, the Petros and Palvos Apostles Church is dedicated to Petros (or Peter) and Pavlos (or Paul).  This church was built in 1865 with locally found stones, and then completed in 1876.  In the church's courtyard, there is a monument dedicated to a local Cypriot hero, Georgios Chr. Katasris.

The Ayia Marina Church was originally built in 1935.  However, it was eventually torn down and then rebuilt in the 1990s with stones from the surrounding area.

Asgata Village is another pleasant village to explore with lovely views.
