Adonis Baths and Waterfalls

The Adonis Baths and Waterfalls site is located near Coral Bay and the Mavrokolympos Reservoir, within the Paphos district of Cyprus.  According to mythology and tradition, Adonis and Aphrodite would meet at the Adonis Baths.

Today, visitors may explore the area, which includes the waterfalls, hiking trails, various large mythology statues, and a small museum that features a historical Cypriot home.

There's an Adonis Baths sign that states, "The road is good for all cars."  Unfortunately, the 3 km drive towards the Adonis Baths and Waterfalls site is extremely rough and rocky.  Plus, the entrance fee isn't quite equal to the actual site, unless tourists and locals plan a lengthy visit.

  1. thanks for this blog. I was planning on visiting the site but after seeing your comment I think I should rent a 4x4 first. Also 9 euro is a bit extreme

  2. It's an interesting place, yet with the higher entrance fee, it seems more worthwhile for those planning to spend most the day at the site. There are several free waterfall sites in Cyprus, including Chantara (http://exploringcyprus.blogspot.com/2014/06/chantara-waterfall.html), Kaledonia (http://exploringcyprus.blogspot.com/2014/07/kaledonia-waterfalls.html), and Millomeris (http://exploringcyprus.blogspot.com/2014/05/millomeris-waterfall.html). Hope you enjoy Exploring Cyprus! :)
