Cyprus Wine Museum

The Cyprus Wine Museum is located in Erimi Village, which is west of the city of Limassol, within the Limassol district of Cyprus.  According to the Cyprus Wine Museum website, Erimi Village "is the starting point of the cultivation of grapes and production of wine in Europe."

The museum was established in 2004, and it focuses on the history of wine making in Cyprus.  The museum is situated in a restored building, which was once an inn and meeting location for Cypriot wine merchants.  It's considered the only wine museum on the island of Cyprus.

The Saint Hilarion Hall is the museum's wine tasting room and displays wines from 38 Cypriot wineries.  According the Cyprus Wine Museum website, this room is where visitors may "enjoy some of the different wines, accompanied by traditional Cypriot delicacies, and also attend a brief lecture by one of the professionals grape varieties and the wine regions of Cyprus."

This museum is geared more towards wine enthusiasts, particularly those who intend to sample the various Cypriot wines.
